This is the closest thing to fresh filter coffee that needs no equipment whatsoever. Real ground coffee, sealed in a bag, brewed in the cup you’re going to drink it from.
Coffee dip bags sit in Colombian Brew’s range alongside roasted beans, ground coffee, instant and premixes — the same coffee, a different way of getting at it. If you like ground coffee but don’t want a grinder, a cafetière, filter papers or the washing up, this is the format that solves it.
Choosing your method
Hot Brew (dip bags). Works exactly like a teabag. Drop it in, pour hot water over, leave it for two to three minutes, lift it out. Longer for stronger. The simplest possible way to brew ground coffee, and the one to take camping, to a hotel, or to a desk.
Easy Pour (pour over). The bag hooks over the rim of your cup and you pour hot water slowly through the grounds, so it drips through like a proper filter brew. It takes a minute longer and gives you more control — pour in two or three stages rather than all at once and you’ll get a fuller, sweeter extraction.
How to make it
Use water just off the boil, around 90–95°C. Around 200ml per bag. With Hot Brew, give the bag a gentle squeeze against the side of the cup as you lift it out. With Easy Pour, wet the grounds first, wait twenty seconds, then continue pouring.
One bag makes one cup. They aren’t designed to be re-steeped.
Who it’s for
Filter coffee drinkers away from their kit. Hotels wanting to offer something better than sachets. Cafés needing a backup when the machine goes down mid-service. Anyone who has looked at a cafetière and thought about the washing up.
